Victor Osimhen has launched a defamation lawsuit against Turkish journalist Tolga Bozduman.

Galatasaray striker, Victor Osimhen has launched a defamation lawsuit against Turkish journalist Tolga Bozduman.

The controversy began two weeks ago when Bozduman alleged that Osimhen assaulted him while trying to take pictures of the football star at an African restaurant following Galatasaray’s 3-3 draw against Dynamo Kyiv.

Osimhen, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray and in top form with 16 goals and five assists in 21 appearances, has categorically denied the accusations.

In a video quoted by Pesindeyiz Galatasaray, Osimhen said, “I didn’t hit the journalists; they are lying. Why are you flashing your face? You have to ask permission for an interview. I told them they had to delete my photos. If I wanted to hit them, I would have.”

Radio host Buchi Laba confirmed Osimhen’s legal action, quoting the striker: “If I hit him, he’s going to get justice and if he lied, he’s going to get the wrath of the law.”
